Originally from Wyoming, Nola earned her education degree from Black Hills State University in South Dakota. She spent years teaching health, psychology, and PE in a number of Tucson's public and alternative high schools. She finds the desert's serenity healing for her soul. Outside work, she enjoys cycling, camping, reading, cribbage, and caring for her three-legged German Shepherd, Tre.
Nola earned her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Arizona University in 2022 and became independently licensed in 2025. She also became certified to provide clinical supervision in 2026. She integrates existential, Jungian, Gestalt, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Her approach explores personal history, dreams, symbols, and the larger life questions about what gives existence meaning. She provides a safe, affirming space for all clients to discover and grow. Nola believes that therapy isn't just for people experiencing challenging symptoms, but everyone who wants to explore their internal world.
